Masale Bhaat
Ingredients
Rice - 200 gms, Onions - 2, Ginger-garlic paste - 2 tsps, Green chillies - 2-3, Tablespoon Goda Masala - 2 tbsp, Jeera- 1½ tsp, Dry Coconut (Grated) - 3 tbsp, Coarsely ground peanut- 2 tbsp, Mixed Vegetable (Green Peas, Cauliflower, Carrot, Tendli) - 200 gms.
Method
1. Dry roast dried coconut and cumin seeds till brown. Add ginger, garlic, green chillies to it and grind to a paste.
2. In a pan, sauté cumin seeds, asafoetida & curry leaves . Add chopped onions, fry till brown. Then add the ground paste, Tablespoon Goda Masala, vegetables and rice, sauté for 2-3 min. Add 2 cups hot water and salt. Cover the vessel & cook till the rice is done.
3. Garnish with fresh grated coconut, coriander leaves and fried cashewnuts. Serve hot with ghee and lime.
Tablespoon Goda Masala also goes well with pulses and other vegetables preparations.
